Album 15 - DJ Wannabe, Part 3 of 4 Cover Art in Color as shown on the Reeves Motal Piano and Synthesizer Music Website

This is the third of a four album set of just random songs like you'd hear from a radio station. Or at least you might have heard if you are like me and older than Methuselah. I can't think of any song I've done newer than the 90's and most are 50's, 60's, and 70's.

About the only time I hear any current music is when I'm in a store and it's playing in the background. I'm sorry, but I think a song's orchestration should consist of more than a drum track and maybe a bass. And to be honest, I haven't heard any signature singers. Most sound like each other and don't have (or don't exhibit it if they've got it) the vocal power I remember from the old songs (Grace Slick on White Rabbit, Ann Wilson on Crazy on You, Janis Joplin on Piece of My Heart and Elvis on everything.) There's at least a hundred vocalists I could name that had an operatic level of voice power. I don't know where they are these days - nor do I know where the virtuoso instrument artists are. I don't see any Eric Clapton's, Jimi Hendrix's, Lonnie Mack's or Nicky Hopkins' playing on today's tracks.

Anyway, I'll quit whining as there are enough songs out there to keep me busy for a long time. I've barely touched the surface.

So here we go again folks - 25 in a row rolling your way.

Reeves

PS This is yours truly "gracing" the cover of the album. I figured I'd use it to show my studio and where the songs are created. Two of the keyboards and four of the networked computers are visible.
